Act 1 Fundraiser

Saturday, September 16, 2017 – All Day

Act 1 – Raising Funds for FSCT – Special Event sponsored by Mesa Vineyards (Ste. Genevieve Winery) at The Grey Mule Saloon Tasting Room and surrounding area.

5K run, wine tasting, music, food, painting, children’s area, live auction, karaoke

Activities will kick off with a Sombrero Wine 5K Run/Fun Walk at 9:00 and continue through the day till the last item is sold that evening at the Live Auction.

Wine Painting will have two sessions, one at 9:00 a.m. (for those who aren’t running or walking) and another at 1:00 (for those who did run or walk and need a place to cool down). There is room for 20 painters in each session. The Wine Painting sessions will be held in the shade of Annie Riggs Museum’s patio. Participants will pay $40.00 and will walk away with a Southwest-themed picture that they have completed with the guidance of Beth Holstein and helpers. You may call Beth at 432-290-1113 to reserve your spot for the morning or the afternoon session. All supplies: canvases, easels, paints, and brushes are provided for each session by a yet-to-be-named sponsor. Absolutely no artistic talent or experience is required for this activity. Just come have fun and bring out the artist in you.

Cork Pull will start at 1:00 and run through the afternoon at The Grey Mule. Diann Warnock and friends will man that activity. Participants will pay $15.00 and pull a cork out of the basket. The number on the cork will correspond to a bottle of wine that they will walk away with. All wines are provided by Mesa Vineyards and will range from their less expensive to their premium labels. Enjoy the cool of The Mule and a bottle of fine wine.

All proceeds from Act I will go to the FSCT Building Fund. All proceeds will be matched by Still Water Foundation Fund and Permian Basin Area Foundation. The $1.5 million renovation and new building project will benefit not only the theatre, but all community members who will be able to use the facilities for meetings, small conferences, exhibits, or social events. The multi-purpose facility will benefit Fort Stockton and the surrounding towns. Make plans now to enjoy Act I.
