Whether you are a novice or a seasoned performer\, this camp has something for everyone. Skill-building and stage confidence will be emphasized\, along with teamwork and group participation. \n\n\n\nAUDITIONS – Monday\, June 22 at 1:15 p.m. \n\n\n\nREHEARSALS – Monday\, June 22 – Friday\, June 26\, 1:15 to 5:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nPERFORMANCES – Friday\, June 26 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday\, June 27\, at 2:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nAll events take place at the Nelson Street Theatre (102 S Nelson\, Fort Stockton) \n\n\n\nSYNOPSIS: Beauty Lou is the oldest daughter of the bronc-bustin’ balladeer Buck. At the local county fair\, young Beauty Lou is upset by the ungrateful behavior of a miner who has won the blue ribbon for his beautiful roses. She calls him a beast and wishes that he would look like one too. Years later\, when in danger of losing the family farm\, Buck meets the miner-turned-beast. Beauty Lou agrees to befriend the Beast to save her family. Beauty Lou and the Beast both learn to look beyond appearances and first impressions and to see the beauty that dwells inside. The story\, set in the American West\, also features Beauty Lou’s six sisters\, her Imaginary Friend\, her dog Fleabite Clyde\, farmhands Slim and Dusty\, the neighborly Country Folk and the Barnyard Critters. \n\n\n\nCASTING:  Approximately 60 local youth may be cast in this production.   \n\n\n\n12 – 1st/2nd Graders \n\n\n\n44 – 3rd/12th graders \n\n\n\n   4 – 6th-12th graders (Assistant Directors)  \n\n\n\nAmong the roles to be cast are Beauty Lou\, Imaginary Friend\, Beast\, Dusty and Slim the farmhands\, Fleabite Clyde the dog\, the Younger Daughters\, the Older Daughters\, the Country Folk and the Barnyard Critters \n\n\n\n3rd – 12th Grade students who are cast must be in attendance for all daily rehearsals for the full scheduled rehearsal (Monday\, June 22 – Friday\, June 26\, 1:15 to 5:30 p.m.) – NO EXCEPTIONS!   1st and 2nd Grade students may leave after refreshments at 3:30 p.m. on Monday\, Tuesday\, and Wednesday\, and then must stay the whole time on Thursday and Friday. \n\n\n\nCOST: $20 participation fee per student: family discount available \n\n\n\nPre-register HERE \n\n\n\nCONTACT: Call (432) 336-3180 for more information  \n\n\n\nSPONSOR: Many thanks to Sadler and Associates for their generous sponsorship and support in bringing the Red Truck Tour to Fort Stockton!

Two Paisano Players will be “playin’ around” in the cast with some of their older theatre buddies.
