Fort Stockton Community Theatre announces Lucky 7 Karaoke coming up on Saturday, July 8. Lucky for whoever brings in the most tips and is crowned Karaoke King or Queen and lucky for the theatre because all tips will be matched by Permian Basin Area Foundation—that means double the money for the theatre’s building fund.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. at The Nelson Street Theatre, 102 South Nelson, and competition will begin at 8:00 for the 7th Karaoke Champion. DJs Art Fuentes, Drew Rose, and Beth Holstein will be in charge of the evening’s fun. Admission is $10.00. Bring your own beverages and plenty of tip money.

Singers may either sing with the recorded music or bring your own guitar or musical instrument for accompaniment. Jamie J. Vasquez was Karaoke 6’s queen. The building fund is nearing the three-quarter mark toward its $1.5 million dollar goal, thanks to a recent $50,000 grant from Still Water Foundation Fund of Austin and the Permian Basin Area Foundation. Your dollar tips for your favorite karaoke performer will be matched by these Foundations, and the renovation project and new 125-seat multi-purpose theatre will become a reality for Fort Stockton and surrounding area.
