Fort Stockton Community Theatre’s 8th Karaoke Night will be on Saturday, August 12.
Doors will open at 7:00; competition to be the 8th Karaoke Royalty will begin at 7:30.
Admission is $10.00 per person.
Mi Casita is sponsoring the night and will provide a prize for the new King or Queen.
DJs Art Fuentes, Drew Rose, and Beth Holstein will call up the songs you like to sing, the songs you like to hear. The new king or queen will be decided by the person bringing in the most tips; so bring your dollars to fill the bucket of your favorite singer. Competition will end about 10:00 p.m. or until competitors have had equal chances to perform. Performers can bring their own musical instruments to accompany themselves if they prefer.
Snacks, cups, and ice will be provided. You bring the rest and enjoy entertainment for, and by, all ages. The first Karaoke King was Daniel Frank, the high school-aged son of Misty and Dan Frank, and the last Karaoke King was Art Fuentes who has been out of high school for a long time. Other winners have been all ages in between.
All proceeds will go to FSCT’s Renovation and Building Fund. The goal is $1.5 million. All funds raised up to $50,000 will be matched by Still Water Foundation Fund and Permian Basin Area Foundation; so plan to come to the 8th Karaoke on August 12, and bring plenty of dollars to be matched for the new theatre.
