Fort Stockton Community Theatre is looking for fun-loving men and women, boys and girls to help celebrate FSCT’s 40th Birthday. Actors of all ages are needed to star in “The Tragedy of Ragweed Cowboy Joe,” a musical melodrama written by I. E. Clark, to be performed Thursday through Sunday, March 17-20 at The Nelson Street Theatre.

A meeting for anyone interested in performing or working backstage will be held on Monday, January 31, at 6:00 p.m. at FMH (next to The Nelson Street Theatre). Rehearsals for the melodrama were put on hold in March of 2020 due to Covid, but many plays have been performed by FSCT since August, 2020, and it is time to get “Ragweed” back on track.

“We are hoping to have the forty or so people who were in the first rehearsals in 2020 to come back and bring a friend,” said FSCT president Alice Duerksen Experienced actors or those who have never been on stage. Singers or those who can’t carry a tune; dancers or those who have two left feet—everyone is needed for this production.

Call Alice Duerksen at 336-3180 for more information.
